Pierre Roy-Contancin, 50, joined GVA in 2015 to lead the corporate development and public affairs of the project in Africa. Pierre is an executive senior manager in broadband and telecoms; He participated to many of the broadband operations in France and French overseas for the past 20 years. In 1999, he joined UPC, first French triple play operator as general counsel. From 2004 to 2008, he significantly contributed to the restructuring of UPC and NOOS to consolidate the cable market; then joined M&A team at Liberty Global. In 2008, appointed General Secretary of Outremer Telecom, 1st alternative mobile and broadband operator in French overseas territories, he enabled the success of an entrepreneur venture, managing a buy-out by ARDIAN in 2012. Pierre also advised Canal + Overseas, Digicel, Apax on their broadband strategy in French overseas. Graduated from faculties of law of Poitiers, Montreal and Pantheon-Sorbonne, Pierre is graduated in Telecom&Media Management from Paris-Dauphine.
