Line Rifaï is a senior business editor at France 24, where she prepares and presents the business news bulletins on the French channel. She also presents two weekly business programs: « La semaine de l’éco » (« Al Osbou’ al Iktissady » in Arabic) and « L’invité de l’éco » (« Daif Al Iktissad » in Arabic). Since 2010, she has been covering several international economic summits for France 24, such as the G20 and G7/G8 summits.
As a business editor at France 24, Line has moderated several panels organized by international organizations, such as the IMF, the World Bank and the CMI. Prior to joining France 24 in 2008, Line worked as a journalist for the Business sections of the French newspaper, « Libération », and the Lebanese newspaper « L’Orient Le Jour ».
Line has acquired an experience in economic research by contributing to some research programs at Dauphine University in Paris. Those programs were specifically focused on development issues in the MENA region (youth unemployment, women’s participation to the labor market, demographic dividends, etc.).
Line holds a Master’s degree in International and Development Economics from Dauphine University in Paris (PSL Research University Paris), from where she gratudated summa cum laude. She also holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the Sciences-Po School of Journalism in Paris.
She is fluent and proficient in French, Arabic and English.
