Peter Oakes is financial services expert working in banking, payments, funds, MiFID, fintech, Regtech & distributed ledger technology industries. He is recognised by Chambers & Partners International Fintech Ranking (2020) as a leading fintech expert.
In addition to his directorship of TransferMate (payments), Peter is also non-executive director of the other regulated fintech firms including Susquehanna International (options market maker), Optal Financial Europe (emoney) and AWM Wealth Adviser (wealth management) and is an advisor to fintech Deposify (online escrow for landlords and tenants) and US regtech Mizen Group (culture, AML & conduct risk). He is a lawyer admitted in the UK, Ireland & Australia. Peter was appointed the inaugural Director of Enforcement & Financial Crime at the Irish Central Bank (2010-2013) following the financial crisis. He has also served as a senior regulator in the UK (FSA), Australia (ASIC) & Saudi Arabia (SAMA). Peter works with fintech firms seeking licences in Europe and mentors start-ups.
Peter has interviewed and moderated discussions with European government ministers, central bankers, financial regulators and CEOs on a broad range of topics including Brexit, central banking, financial services, fintech & GDPR.

Ruth Foxe Blader is a Partner at Anthemis and thought leader in fintech and insurtech. At Anthemis, Ruth leads strategic investment efforts across Europe and North America. Ruth specialises in technology-enabled business models, insurance technology, risk transfer, early stage investing, product strategy and digital transformation.
Prior to joining Anthemis, Ruth worked for Allianz SE, where she spearheaded leading digital innovation efforts. She was a founding member of the AllianzX team, where she led investments in startups including Lemonade, MoneyFarm, Argus Cyber Security and SimpleSurance.
A New Jersey native, Ruth has spent the last decade between New York, London and Paris. In 2018 and 2019, Ruth was recognized for her outstanding contribution to the global financial technology ecosystem and listed among the Women in Fintech Powerlist by Innovate Finance. She currently serves on the boards of Axle, Demex, Hokodo, Kaiko, Proportunity and Stable.
